Uganda’s Tourism Photographer Ssenyonyi Set to Showcase the Pearl

Through the Timeless Frames Exhibition slated for 20th September. 2024, at Serena Hotel Kampala, Derrick Ssenyonyi sets to share his captivating journey through Uganda’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant wildlife, and rich cultural heritage emphasizing the vital role of conservation.
Ssenyonyi says, the event is designed to highlight the power of visual storytelling in promoting tourism and conservation and to also inspire more photographers.
“I am thrilled to officially announce the launch of ‘Timeless Frames.’ This exhibition is more than just an art display; it is a narrative of Uganda’s natural beauty and cultural richness. I hope it will inspire viewers to appreciate and protect our unique environment and heritage but most importantly highlight the role of creative storytelling in promoting tourism,” Adds Ssenyoyi.

He also plans to have a photo book and he’s endeavoring to make it a point that make it a point and reach out to every corner of the country, documenting its rich heritage.
The State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Kabbyanga Godfrey Baluku, says they are delighted to support Derrick Ssenyonyi’s ‘Timeless Frames’ exhibition, which exemplifies their mandate to promote and harness the power of communication for national development.
Baluku adds that as a ministry, they are committed to fostering innovation and supporting initiatives that highlight Uganda through effective visual storytelling.
Stephen Masaba, the Head of Business and Tourism at Uganda Wildlife Authority notes that Ssenyonyi’s work captures the essence of Uganda, and It aligns perfectly with UWA’s vision of ‘Conserving for Generations’
After the launch of the exhibition there a 1-month exhibition from October 1 to 31, 2024, at the Summit View Residences – This will be open to the public, offering visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the stunning visuals of Uganda’s landscapes and wildlife, as seen through Derrick’s lens.
