Having spent a decade in office, Mr. Vincent Kayanja the outgoing mayor for Entebbe municipality, unceremoniously bade farewell to the staff and employees at the municipal council. This has come at a time when Mr. Fabrice Rulinda is slated to be sworn in, as the new municipality mayor at a function organised tomorrow (Tuesday) at the municipal headquarters.

Mr. Rulinda (ind) was declared the winner for Entebbe mayoral seat with 6,703 votes, followed by Micheal Mutebi Kabwama (NRM) with 6,342 votes and DP’s Kayanja with 5,576 votes while Olive Nassuna (NUP) garnered 2,499 votes. Mohammed Kawuma the former MP for Entebbe municipality got 521 votes.
Mr. Kayanja has since, contested the results hence petitioned court to annul Rulinda’s win. That, as it is, Mr. Kayanja and all his belongings, have been vacated from the mayor’s office and palour in order to pave room for the incoming mayor.
