By 7am youths were already at their respective polling stations to cast their votes scientifically as Uganda kicks off the 2021 elections.

National Resistance Movement, National Unity Platform and Democratic Party are the only three political parties that fielded candidates in the youths elections in Katabi  towncouncil  and Entebbe Municipality.

Much as many youths had turned up to line up behind their candidates, many failed to be part of the exercise because their names never appeared in the voters’ registers, these were locked out in polling stations that were well enclosed to avoid chaos.

In Katabi towncouncil, out of the 23 villages,  National Unity Forum won in 15 villages, Democratic Party 06 and National Resistance Movement 02.

Re-elections are to be held in  five villages in Entebbe municipality where youths became rowdy and the exercise was postponed.
