Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre’s (UWEC) Executive Director Dr. James Musinguzi has called on Buganda government to partner with the center in efforts of boasting local tourism through totems.
Dr . Musinguzi made the appeal while receiving food items from the Mituba IV Busiro county in Entebbe Municipality. He noted that as part of boasting local tourism, the young generation should be at the forefront and cited issues related to educating children about their totems in Buganda.
Francis Makumbi the deputy Mituba IV, led the team that donated food items that included cabbages, sweet potatoes, pineapples and sweet bananas. He lauded UWEC for the efforts they have put up, in taking good care of the animals during this trying time of covid19, most of which are Buganda totem symbols.
