Over 1,000 runners are expected to participate in the Entebbe aviation run aimed at uplifting the health and medical standards in Entebbe area and its metropolitan. Presents and accolades are to be won by racers from the 1st to 5th in each category.

Organised by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), the Sunday marathon is part of the 75year celebrations of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) which is expected to take place in November this year. Runners will be flagged off at Entebbe mayors gardens through different streets of the municipality. According to Vianney Luggya the UCAA public relations manager, all monies collected from the run, will be channeled towards Entebbe referral hospital.
The run is expected to attract other guests including, Rose Tumusiime and Vincent Kayanja the Entebbe municipality member of parliament and mayor respectively. Companies and organisations that are in preparation of the run include, Uganda Airlines, Uganda Wildlife Education and Concervation centre (UWEC) among others.
