Miss Uganda North America Vanessa Nansamba together with Miss Oregon USA 2020 Katarina Villega have organised the third annual charity cares tour of Uganda which began on February 24, and expected to run way up to March, 08, 2020. This tour aims at raising awareness of Uganda’s tourism potential and positive tourism values such as volunteerism, eco-tourism and cultural awareness to the international community.
The same tour will see Queen Vanessa spending time with teen mothers, survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, as well as tour of Murchison falls National park, Buganda kingdom, and Lubaga girls Secondary school.
While addressing media upon arrival, the beauty Queen noted, they were to first visit Buganda kingdom. “The kingdom is rich in culture including its clan system that is central to culture and governance, its traditional attire, dances and rituals,” remarked Nansamba.
Other places on their visitation schedule include Katanga slum where they’re expected to participate in clean-up activities to encourage culture of proper sanitation in the community that lives in abject poverty. Later the duo shall proceed to Lubaga girls school for counseling and carrier guidance before donating scholastic material to students.
This tour is carried out every year as being conducted by every sitting Miss Uganda in North America. The first tour was conducted by Queen Sholom Aberu while the 2nd tour was conducted by 2019 miss Uganda in North America Beauty pegeant.
